Hawthorn Cottage
A charming respite
Our original cottage has been a charming respite for guests for over sixty years. Hawthorn was built by Chauncey Somes, a descendant of original settler Abraham Somes. It is heated, has one bedroom, bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen, and living room. Furnishings include a queen bed, air conditioning, all linens and towels, as well as SmartTV, wireless high-speed internet, and great books. Fresh flowers and original art in each room add to the charm of the cottage.
The lawn is open and sunny, with gardens and shade trees near the cottage and a deck with a table and two chairs for sunning and observing Somesville’s resident eagles and ospreys. There is also a bicycle and storage shed, as well as a Weber gas grill and accessories.
